Check out an exhibit complete with origami art from artists from around the world this week. MONDAY – JULY 29, 2013

Who: Origami Heaven 2013 – Extreme Origami At Charles B. Wang Center At Stony Brook University
Info: Enjoy an exhibit complementing the Origami Heaven 2013 festival, an annual summer program. The exhibit is available through Aug. 4. The exhibit offers a look at works from origami artists from around the world. The festival begins on July 31 and features workshops, a puppet portal, storigami (storytelling through origami), and demonstrations of oversized folding.

TUESDAY – JULY 30, 2013

Who: Under The Sun Tour With Sugar Ray & Smash Mouth At The Paramount
Info: Sugar Ray, Smash Mouth, and Gin Blossoms unite to present “Under The Sun 2013,” a summer tour featuring an array of chart topping stars from the 90s. The event also features Vertical Horizon and Fastball.

Who: Dick Dale At YMCA Boulton Center For The Performing Arts

Who: Banjo Rascals At Nautical Mile Esplanade
Info: As part of the summer concert series sponsored by the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport, Banjo Rascals will perform a variety of distinctive toe-tapping music ranging from the 1890s Ragtime to 1950s, 60s and 70s rock-n-roll. The event is partially sponsored by the Freeport Memorial Library.
