Old Time Base Ball Tournament is a Home Run in History

Written by Catherine Eve  |  30. July 2022

Want to see how baseball was played back in the day? Way back…as in the 1800s? Visit Old Bethpage Village Restoration on August 6 and 7 for the Doc Adams Old Time Base Ball Tournament. Enjoy watching vintage base ball (the sport’s original spelling) teams from across the country compete in America’s national pastime following the rules from 1864. Old-time uniforms and baseballs, distinctly different regulations and customs, and no gloves are just a few of the things spectators may notice during these competitive and historically accurate games.

Admission is $15 per adult, $12 for children between the ages of 5 and 12, and $12 for seniors 60 and over. Children under 4 are free. Old Bethpage Village Restoration is located at 1303 Round Swamp Road in Old Bethpage. Call 516-572-8400 or find them on Facebook for information and updates.
