Terrifying Late-Night Shooting in Wyandanch: Man in Critical Condition, Woman Injured

Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a shooting that seriously injured a man and injured a woman in Wyandanch last night.
 
A 26-year-old West Babylon man and 25-year-old East Patchogue woman were in a parked vehicle facing northbound in front of 32 Winter Ave., when a northbound vehicle pulled up to the passenger side of their vehicle, and a person inside shot the man in the head and the woman in her right arm, at 11:17 p.m.
 
The shooter fled the scene.
 
The woman drove herself and the man to a local hospital for treatment. The man is in critical condition. The woman was treated and released.
