Massage Parlor Exposed: Undercover Operation Leads to Arrests and Building Condemnation
In response to a surge of complaints from concerned citizens, Suffolk County Police launched a targeted operation on Wednesday, August 2, at the New Day Spa located on Dawn Drive in Centereach. The operation, involving a collaborative effort by multiple law enforcement and regulatory agencies, resulted in the apprehension of two individuals and the condemnation of the spa building due to numerous violations.
Following a thorough investigation, law enforcement officials arrested Liu Bing, a 42-year-old resident of Centereach, on charges of unauthorized practice of a profession, which constitutes a felony offense. Additionally, Wendy Valencia Dorado, 26, hailing from Brooklyn, was taken into custody and charged with prostitution, categorized as a misdemeanor offense.
Both Bing and Dorado were promptly issued desk appearance tickets and are slated to appear at the First District Court in Central Islip on a later date, as scheduled.
The raid itself was meticulously executed by a team of dedicated professionals, including officers from the Suffolk County Police Sixth Precinct Crime Section, a Town of Brookhaven Building Inspector, a Brookhaven Town Fire Marshal, and a Brookhaven Town Investigator. The Town of Brookhaven's meticulous documentation uncovered a multitude of violations, culminating in the decision to declare the building unsafe and unfit for use.
These recent arrests bear striking similarity to a prior incident, wherein two women were apprehended and faced charges of unauthorized practice of a profession at the very same massage parlor several months ago.
