Elderly North Merrick Man Arrested for Lewd Act at CVS, Investigation Ongoing

A 72-year-old North Merrick man, Darwin Taylor, was arrested for public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child after exposing himself to a 14-year-old girl in a CVS parking lot.

The Public Information Office reports the arrest of a North Merrick man for Public Lewdness that occurred on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 5:20 PM in North Bellmore.
 
According to police, Defendant Darwin Taylor, 72, of 1305 Little Whaleneck Road was at CVS located at 2660 Jerusalem Avenue where he was observed by a female victim, 14, exposing himself and touching his genitals in the parking lot of this location. After a thorough investigation, the defendant was located and placed under arrest without incident.
 
Defendant Darwin Taylor is charged with Public Lewdness, Indecent Exposure and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He was released on an Appearance Ticket returnable on Monday, August 12, 2024 to First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
