Tragic Fatal Vehicular Accident Claims Life in West Hempstead Collision
The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Monday, August 7, 2023 at 2:22 am in West Hempstead.
According to Detectives, a 2005 Nissan SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed eastbound on Hempstead Turnpike near the intersection of Westminster Road when it struck a parked 2009 Toyota Corolla. The Toyota had three (3) occupants and two (2) pedestrians were standing next to the vehicle.
All six (6) people involved in the accident were transported to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries. One of the passengers from the Toyota was pronounced by hospital staff.
The investigation is ongoing.
