On Sunday, August 7, 2022, at approximately  7:40 am, the State Police responded to a call for a motorcycle crash on the Northern State Parkway westbound near exit 29A in the town of North Hempstead, Nassau County.

Carl Granville, 44 years-old of Rock Hill, NY, was traveling westbound on the Northern State Parkway on his 2020 Ducati motorcycle. Granville failed to negotiate a curve, left the roadway and struck the guard rail on the right shoulder.

Granville died of his injuries at the scene.

This collision is under investigation and the State Police is asking for witness or anyone with any information to call (631) 756-3300.
