Sweetgreen – the fast-casual chain that serves freshly prepared salads from their signature menu items or make-your-own style – is opening their first store in Suffolk County at Walt Whitman Shops (formerly known as Walt Whitman Mall) in Huntington on Tuesday August 15th.

Last year, Sweetgreen opened two locations in Nassau County. One in Garden City and another in Woodbury.

On opening day, Sweetgreen plans fun in-store specials including seasonal cupcakes by a local baker, a bouquet bar, and a sweet treat with every purchase. Plus, for every bowl sold they will donate a meal to Island Harvest to nourish Long Island families experiencing food insecurity.

Sweetgreen is also offering a $7 credit toward your first order. Click here for details.

As of now, a representative from Sweetgreen said they are no additional locations confirmed to open on Long Island.

Location: Walt Whitman Shops, 160 Walt Whitman Road, Huntington Station.
