Summer is inevitably coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop! Labor Day, which is celebrated the first Monday of September, gives us one last three day weekend to say farewell to summer before autumn starts rolling in. Luckily for Long Islanders this year’s Labor Day Weekend is full of fun, festive, festivals to attend.
The holiday itself recognizes and commemorates the economic and social achievements of American workers throughout our nation’s history. This annual national tribute to the hard work of the American people celebrates their perseverance, strength, and dedication to the growth and prosperity of our country. These are wonderful things to keep in mind as you enjoy a lovely day of family fun at a festival.
