LongIsland.com has put some of these together so that you will know exactly what to do on your wedding day if something happens to your cake!

The first thing that you should do is make sure that you are aware of what the cake is going to look like. Ask for photo's of past cakes to make sure that the baker is living up to his reputation. Do a bunch of online research in search of reviews on the particular bakery that you are using. If they are a great choice, there will be tons of good hype from past brides. You don't want to just assume that the baker is competent, make sure for yourself.

The next thing you should do is ask your baker what exactly would happen on the day of the wedding if something happens to the cake or if you are not satisfied with the work. If you feel completely comfortable with the cake situation after going over all these points, chances are you are going to be able to fix any bumps that might pop up!

So what happens when the cake is not what you wanted and your baker will do nothing to fix it? The best thing you can do is find the nearest baker and ask if they have any sample cakes made and if you could buy it. That would be the quickest fix to the problem. You can also bring your unsatisfactory cake to the nearest baker and beg them for help.
