The Public Information Office reports the details of a Serious Aided that occurred on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 2:39 pm in Port Washington.
Port Washington police along with the assistance of the Nassau County Police Emergency Service Unit responded to a Wakefield Avenue residence. Upon arrival, police observed that a tree had fallen on the residence and had pinned a 89-year-old female victim standing in her rear yard.
The victim suffered severe trauma and was transported by the Nassau County Police Aviation Unit to a local area hospital for treatment.
The victim is listed in stable condition.
