Road Rage Escalates: Roosevelt Man Arrested for Attempted Murder After Firing Shots in Uniondale Clash

The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a Roosevelt man for Attempted Murder that occurred on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 5:30 PM in Uniondale.

According to Detectives, Officers responded to Paff Avenue for a 911 call regarding a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers were met by a male victim, 24, who stated he was involved in a road rage incident. Subsequent to the investigation, Defendant Marcquise Porter, 22, of 4 Brooks Avenue was responsible for discharging multiple rounds at the victim and striking his vehicle twice. The Defendant was located on Monday, August 21, 2023 on Cedar Street in West Hempstead and was placed under arrest without incident. While in police custody Defendant Porter was found to be in possession of a substance believed to be Crack Cocaine.

Defendant Marcquise Porter is charged with Attempted Murder 2 nd Degree, Reckless Endangerment 1 st Degree, Reckless Endangerment 2 nd Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Use of a Firearm 1 st Degree, two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2 nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Mischief 2 nd Degree, Menacing 2 nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead. Further investigation revealed Porter had an open bench warrant for Unauthorized Use of a Vehicle that occurred on May 21, 2023 in Nassau County.
