After Angelino’s in Jericho closed down the building was renovated but nothing ever went into the spot. Now after years of lying vacant, Tap Room, the Long Island based gastropub that opened its first location in Patchogue back in 2011, is taking over. A sign in the window advertises that Tap Room is coming soon to 1 Jericho Turnpike.
Tap Room was launched more than 12 years ago in Patchogue by James Bonanno and David Johnson who have since expanded their brand to five locations in total so far: Farmingdale, Massapequa Park, Rockville Centre, Bay Shore and their original spot in Patchogue. Tap Rooms feature a full menu for lunch and dinner including craft burgers, tacos, sliders and handhelds. They also have a specific beer selection at each location with craft and specialty brew on tap.
The duo are also responsible for the Bango Bowls restaurant chain that has seven locations, five of which are on Long Island. Bango Bowls offers healthy eating options like acai and grain bowls, salads, flatbreads and smoothies.
The phone number for the Jericho location doesn’t give much information on when they will open. We have reached out to the owners by email and will update this story when we get more information.
Location: 1 Jericho Turnpike, Jericho, (516) 252-6222.
