Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood last night.
Jason Goins was walking northbound in the roadway on Crooked Hill Road, at Sagtikos State Parkway, when he was struck by a northbound 2021 Honda at approximately 10:15 p.m.
Goins, 46, of 801 Crooked Hill Road, Brentwood, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Honda, Briana Rodriguez, 19, of Bay Shore, was not injured.
The Honda was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
