The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident that occurred on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 5:23 pm in Syosset.
According to detectives, an 88-year-old female operating a 2008 Mercury Milan, was involved in a collision with a 2020 Jaguar SUV being operated by a 54-year-old female, at the
intersection of Split Rock Road and Monfort Place.
The operator and 21-year-old female passenger of the Jaguar suffered minor injuries
and were transported to an area hospital for treatment. A 78-year-old female passenger of the
Mercury was also transported to a local hospital for minor injuries.
The 88-year-old female operator of the Mercury suffered severe trauma and was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased by a staff physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
