Mineola Man Arrested for $3,500 Burglary at Yummy Gyro, Found with Crack Pipe

A Mineola man was arrested for burglarizing Yummy Gyro in Williston Park, stealing $3,500, and was found in possession of a crack pipe.

The Third Squad reports the arrest of a Mineola man on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 8:50 PM for a Burglary that occurred in Williston Park.
 
According to detectives, officers responded to Yummy Gyro located at 579 Willis Avenue for a Burglary that had occurred overnight. The proceeds from the Burglary were a lockbox containing approximately $3,000 and approximately $500 which was removed from a cash register. Officers conducted a thorough investigation and located the Defendant Anthony Miola, 49, of 337 Marcellus Road in a nearby parking lot. He was in possession of a glass pipe containing a burnt substance believed to be crack cocaine and it was determined he was responsible for the listed Burglary. He was arrested without incident.
 
Defendant Anthony Miola is charged with Burglary 3 rd Degree, Grand Larceny 3 rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7 th Degree. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, September 3, 2024 at First District Court, Hempstead.
