Fun-Filled Weekend at the 18th Annual East Northport Festival

Written by Sharon Lindell  |  09. September 2013

If you missed it, you will have to try again next year, because The 18th Annual East Northport Festival was a three great days of shopping, eating, and fun. Located on the corner of Larkfield Rd. and Pulaski Rd., the fair encompassed the streets and John Walsh Park. Boy Scout Troop 52 was on site to help vendors and sell water throughout the streets.

On Friday, visitors got to enjoy the food from many delicious food carts and an amusement park presented by the Newtown Shows. You couldn’t miss the ferris wheel or drop towers from the main road. Visitors danced into the evening with the night’s entertainment, Fast Lanes Eagles Tribute.

On Saturday, the street were lined up early with many different vendors on the main road, in addition to the amusement park. From political candidates (primaries are on September 10th) to buying marionette puppets to clothes, there was something for everyone at the vendor tables. The entertainment for the day included Old School and Peter Mazzeo and the Hit Squad.

On Sunday, vendors were back in the street for another day. In the park, the East Northport Chamber of Commerce tried to break their Hokey Pokey record. Later in the day, dance performances and bike tricks took up the streets by the park.

This festival was very truly a fun filled event, and we look forward to the 19th Annual East Northport Festival next year!
