Attention wine enthusiasts: Plattduetsche Park Biergarten in Franklin Square will be hosting Das Weinfest, "The Original German Wine Festival," on Sunday, September 10 from 1 - 6 p.m. Taste over 40 different wines from all major German wine-growing regions and learn about the farming and winemaking of award-winning vintages from the winemakers themselves.
Sip Sparkling wines, crisp Rieslings, elegant Pinot Noirs, and more in a festive atmosphere featuring live music from The Austrian Boys and acoustic artist Eric Justvig. Enjoy dancing and complement the wine samples with authentic German foods. Everything from Giant Bavarian pretzels to traditional German bratwurst to desserts are available for purchase. The winemakers themselves will also share their winemaking expertise and answer questions about what it takes to create each bottle.
