If you don’t have the energy for a puppy, take home a bundle of joy in the form of a senior dog who lives for the quiet moments with you at home and comes to you older, wiser, and calmer – a great combination for a low-maintenance dog.
Daisy is a small senior dachshund who fits this bill, and she dreams of a warm home more than most because she has spent a good deal of time in a shelter. She was rescued from Islip Town Shelter by Save-a-Pet Animal Rescue and Adoption Center, and the staff at Save-a-Pet estimate that she is between 10 and 12 years old. Daisy is a love bug who enjoys being held and snuggling with whoever will sit with her. She is a great companion pet for someone who is looking for company around the house, or someone who only has a small house or apartment.
Daisy is spayed, housetrained, and up-to-date with all of her routine vaccinations
