Bomb threat at Kellenburg High in Uniondale leads to evacuation, but no explosives found after search.

The Public Information Office reports on a Bomb Threat that occurred on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at 7:12 AM in Uniondale.
 
According to Police, a message was sent by an anonymous person through the chat message system of 988 Lifeline, a suicide and crisis hotline, that bombs had been placed around the Kellenburg Memorial High School located at 1400 Glenn Curtiss Boulevard.
 
Officers responded to scene and held students and faculty outside of the school prior to the beginning of classes and a searched was conducted.
 
The school was cleared with negative results and reopened to students and faculty. Homeland Security responded to scene.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
