Stony Brook Harbor Jazz Festival

Long Island jazz lovers should make plans to swing to The Jazz Loft in Stony Brook, September 25 – 29, for the annual Stony Brook Harbor Jazz Festival. The festival will feature a full line up of talented, highly acclaimed musicians as well as a Children’s Instrument Petting Zoo. Whether you watch one performance or catch them all, you're sure to be in for a real musical treat. Here's a breakdown of the event performances and activities. 

Wednesday, September 25:

The Art of Jazz: The Jazz Loft Trio Jazz Jam with the Atelier Artists & Gallery Opening Featuring the Art of John Remson, 7 p.m.

Thursday September 26:

​Interplay Jazz Orchestra featuring special guest artist Dave LaLama, 7p.m. 

Interplay Jazz Orchestra is the only Long Island Big Band performing original compositions and arrangements written by members of the band.

Friday September 27:

​Special VIP Festival Opening Reception, 6 p.m.

Terell Stafford Quintet, 7 p.m. Terell Stafford is an acclaimed trumpet player based in New York.

​Saturday September 28:

​Children’s Instrument Petting Zoo, 12 noon, FREE

​Frank Vignola Duo with Houston Person, 1 p.m. Frank Vignola is guitarist and Houston Person is a jazz tenor saxophonist.

Champian Fulton Quartet, 4 p.m. Champian Fulton is a gifted, award-winning jazz pianist and vocalist.

Nicole Henry Quintet, 7 p.m.  Nicole Henry is an acclaimed jazz vocalist.

​*All Saturday performances and the Children’s Instrument Petting Zoo will be held outdoors on the Village Green

​Sunday September 29:

Houston Person Quartet, 12 noon

Nicki Parrott Trio, 3 p.m. Nicki Parrott is a jazz bassist and vocalist from Australia.

Full Festival Pass:  Adults $195 |  Seniors $160 |  Students $125 |  Children $90 |  children under 5 free

Individual concerts: $30 adults |  $25 children |  $20 students |  $15 children |  children under 5 free
