Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a bicyclist in Mastic last night.
Gerrianne Griffin was driving a 2019 Kia SUV southbound on Mastic Road, near Dover Avenue, when the vehicle struck an adult male bicyclist traveling southbound at 9:40 p.m.
The bicyclist, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead. Griffin, 74, of Mastic Beach, was not injured.
The Kia was impounded for a safety check.
