Driving Instructor Arrested for Forcible Touching Student

Suffolk County Police today arrested a driving instructor for inappropriately touching one of his students in East Northport earlier this month.
 
During a driving lesson, the instructor, Arnold Stecker, an employee of Fitzgerald Driving School, inappropriately touched a 20-year-old female student while they were stopped on Kenilworth Drive on September 10 at approximately 8:30 p.m.
 
Following an investigation by the Second Squad, Stecker, 72, of 163 Southern Boulevard, Hauppauge, was charged with Forcible Touching. He will be held overnight and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 15.
 
Detectives are asking anyone with additional information or if you believe you are a victim to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
