Hot Spots: Weekend Watch for Festivities near the Harbor, Comedy & Other Events
It’s practically like a race to get all outdoor fun in before the end of summer. The end of this week is packed with festivities near the harbor, including the Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race Festival, the Greenport Maritimes, Cow Harbor Day and a kite festival at the Long Island Maritime Museum. Who: Port Jefferson Dragon Boat Race Festival
Info: This festival held at the harbor of Port Jefferson village will include local and regional teams coming together to race against each other in a series of heats. Novice teams are provided with instructions and all the necessary equipment to race while spectators can enjoy the festival complete with food and music.

Who: Menopause The Musical At Patchogue Theater For The Performing Arts
Info: The musical features four women at a lingerie sale with nothing in common but a black lace bra and memory loss, hot flashes, night sweats, not enough sex, too much sex and more! Come out to enjoy this hilarious musical parody set to classic tunes from the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s.

Who: Apple Festival At Sherwood-Jayne House
