Homicide Squad Investigates Fatal Stabbing Behind West Hempstead Restaurant
The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Homicide that occurred on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 12:05 AM in West Hempstead.
According to Detectives, Fifth Precinct Officers responded for a 911 call for a stabbing in the rear of La Candela Restaurant located at 205 Hempstead Turnpike.
Upon arrival, officers located two victims; a female, 52, who was stabbed multiple times and a male, 50, with a laceration to his hand.
Both victims were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment.
At 3:58 AM the female victim succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased by a hospital physician. The male victim was treated and released.
The investigation is on-going.
