The Fourth Squad reports the arrest of an Oceanside man for a Robbery that occurred on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 4:10 pm in Oceanside.
 
According to detectives, Defendant Edward Miles, 55, of 65 Merle Avenue, entered the Speedway Gas Station located at 2650 Long Beach Road. Once inside, he removed beer from the refrigerators and approached the male employee, 44, standing behind the register. Defendant Miles selected two packs of cigarettes that were behind the counter and placed his hand inside his sweatshirt, stating he had a gun. The defendant then fled the scene with the beer and cigarettes.
 
A short time later after a thorough investigation, Defendant Edward Miles was located at his residence and placed under arrest without further incident.
 
Edward Miles is charged with Robbery 1 st Degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, October 11, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
