MINEOLA (Oct. 24, 2011) -- Halloween is just around the corner and Nassau County can be a spooky place. And that's what makes it so much fun. Haunted houses, old-time Halloween celebrations and creepy amusement rides are just some of the fun attractions that can be found this time of year in Nassau County. "Nassau County has much to offer visitors this holiday season," said County Executive Edward G. Mangano. "I invite everyone to celebrate Halloween at our extraordinary range of attractions." Here are some places to enjoy the spooky season: Old Bethpage Village Restoration Haunted 1880 Halloween You can celebrate Halloween the way it was done more than a century ago at Old Bethpage Village Restoration's 1880 Long Island Halloween. Delight to ghost stories, magic lantern shows and jack-o-lantern carving. You can tour haunted buildings and meet the local gravedigger!
