On Thursday, October 26, 2023 just after 3:00 PM the State Police responded to a collision on the Southern State Parkway westbound in the area of exit 19 in the town of Hempstead, Nassau County.
The collision involved a school bus and two passenger vehicles. There were seven children and one driver on the bus, none of which were injured. One passenger from one of the vehicles was taken to the hospital out of precaution.
