The Third Squad reports on the arrest of a Great Neck man for an incident that occurred on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 12:00 PM in New Hyde Park.
 
According to Detectives, defendant Seth Newman, 21, of 44 Somerset Drive, was operating a black 2021 Dodge Charger in the vicinity of Marcus Avenue and New Hyde Park Road. While operating the vehicle, he activated amber flashing lights and a siren. Newman was observed with what appeared to be a black handgun located near his hip and identified himself as a Homeland Security Officer. A short time later, Newman was located in the parking lot of King Kullen, located at 2305 Jericho Turnpike, Garden City Park and placed under arrest without incident.
 
Defendant Seth Newman is charged with Criminal Impersonation 2 nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4 th Degree. He was released on an appearance ticket returnable on Thursday, November 7, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
