The Homicide Squad reports the details of Domestic Disturbance involving a
handgun that occurred at 7:06 am on Sunday, October 29, 2023 in Uniondale.
According to detectives, First Precinct police responded to a 911 call for a
violent domestic incident involving a handgun at a Newton Avenue residence. Upon
arrival, First Precinct police observed a 43-year-old female and a 45-year-old male in
a bedroom unresponsive with gunshot injuries. Both were transported to a nearby
local hospital and treated for their injuries. The female was pronounced deceased by
hospital staff at 7:49 am. The male is listed in serious but stable condition. The
investigation is ongoing.
