The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a disturbance that
occurred on Monday, October 30, 2023 at 8:45 p.m. in Elmont.
 
According to detectives, a female victim, 45, arrived home with her two
daughters ages 14 and 17 located on Heathcote Road when she was involved in a verbal dispute with defendant Tristan Jobity, 38, of 173-37 104 Avenue, Jamacia. Defendant Jobity proceeded to break numerous items in the home and grabbed the cell phone out of the hands of the victim when she attempted to call 911. All three victim’s left and returned to the scene with officers. Upon arrival, defendant Tristan Jobity was present. Officers attempted to place him into custody and sustained injuries during the course of the arrest as the defendant was violent and combative while resisting arrest.
 
Defendant Tristan Jobity is charged with two count of Assault 2 nd degree,
Criminal Mischief 2 nd degree, Criminal Mischief 4 th degree, Resisting Arrest and
Endangering the Welfare of a Child. He will be arraigned
