Brooklyn Man Arrested for Assault in West Hempstead

The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn man for an Assault that occurred on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 3:30 PM in West Hempstead.
 
According to Detectives, Officers responded for a fraud report at Capital One Bank located at 611 Hempstead Turnpike. Upon arrival, officers were informed that an unknown male was attempting to access funds from a restricted account. Officers located the Defendant Dao Sheng Hong, 37, of 947 55 th Street and attempted to place him under arrest. During the course of the arrest the defendant became violent and combative causing an officer to sustain an injury. The officer was transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment. Further investigation revealed, the defendant was found to be in possession of numerous fraudulent documents.
 
Defendant Dao Sheng Hong is charged with Assault 2 nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2 nd Degree, two counts of Criminal Possession of a
Forged Instrument 2 nd Degree and Resisting arrest. He will be arraigned on Thursday,
October 31, 2024 in First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
