The First Precinct Special Patrol Officers report the arrest of two males during a “Project 21” initiative, which targets the sale of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to minors. The initiative was conducted on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 6:10 pm in Nassau County.
 
According to Officers, the following individuals were arrested at the following establishments with the assistance of underage agents:
 Jubran Assofe, 32, of 16 Tyler Avenue, Hempstead sold tobacco products to a minor at Delightful Deli located at 1654 Grand Avenue, Baldwin. He is charged with Criminal Sale of Cannabis 3rd Degree, Sale of Flavored Vapor Products, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis
and Possession of unstamped cigarettes.
 Mohammed Al Sadi, 33, of 2402 E 17 th Street, Brooklyn sold tobacco products to a minor at Yafa Smoke Shop located at 1289 Grand Avenue, Baldwin. He is charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child 2 nd Degree, Sale of Flavored Vapor Products, Possession of
unstamped cigarettes and multiple Town of Hempstead Violations.
 
Defendant Jubran Assofe and Defendant Mohammed Al Sadi were
issued Appearance Tickets returnable on Monday, November 18, 2024 to First
District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
