Burglar Makes Off with $3,000 Worth of Cigarettes in Early Morning Heist at West Hempstead Gas Station

The Fifth Squad reports the details of a Burglary that occurred on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 3:52 am in West Hempstead.
 
According to Detectives, a male employee arrived to work at Mobil Gas Station, located at 579 Hempstead Turnpike and noticed the front door was unlocked and damaged. The employee further noticed that the store had been ransacked and approximately $3,000.00 worth of cigarettes was missing.
 
Upon police arrival it was determined that an unknown male subject had used a crow bar and forcibly entered the business through the front door. The subject removed the cigarettes and fled the scene on foot in an unknown direction.
