Pedestrian Killed in West Babylon Crash
Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in West Babylon this morning.
A woman was crossing Route 109 when she was struck by a southbound 2009 Nissan Altima at the intersection of Old Farmingdale Road at approximately 6:30 a.m.
The pedestrian, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Altima, Erin Hancock, 23, of West Babylon, was not injured.
