FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast New York, including the following counties, Nassau and Suffolk. * WHEN...Until 400 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 205 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.7 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Man Arrested for Kidnapping and Unlawful Imprisonment Following a Coordinated Effort by Nassau County and NYPD

First Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Kidnapping that occurred on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:30 pm in Roosevelt.

The First Squad reports the arrest of a Queens man for a Kidnapping that occurred on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:30 pm in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, officers responded to a disturbance at a residence in the First Precinct. Upon arrival, officers were informed that Kamani Roach, 29, of 168-20 127 th Avenue was involved in a verbal argument with a female victim, 21, who was then forcefully removed from her home and placed inside his vehicle before fleeing scene.
 
A short time later, Nassau County Detectives worked in conjunction with the NYPD and located the female victim. Subsequent to the investigation, Defendant Kamani Roach was located and placed into police custody without incident.
 
Defendant Kamani Roach is charged with Kidnapping 2nd Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street in Hempstead.
