In addition, some less traveled secondary roads may still have some residual snow. The winds increasing and becoming gusty may partially dry out residual moisture, but some icy spots will likely remain especially in locations with less wind. If encountering these conditions, proceed with extra caution. Drive extra slowly and allow for more space between vehicles.

Massive Jericho House Fire Engulfs Home as 9 Fire Departments Rush to Battle Flames: Arson Bomb Squad Investigating Tragic Blaze

A Jericho house fire drew 9 fire departments, tragically claiming a pet dog's life, as investigators probe the cause.

The Arson Bomb Squad is investigating a residential house fire that occurred on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 4:02 am. in Jericho.
 
According to detectives, Second Precinct police responded to a house fire that occurred at 116 Seaman Road. Upon arrival, police observed a home fully engulfed in flames coming from the second floor along with a heavy smoke condition.
 
The Jericho Fire department responded to extinguish the flames with the assistance of the Syosset FD, Hicksville FD, Westbury FD, Plainview FD, Bethpage FD, South Farmingdale FD, Glenwood FD and Carl Place FD.
 
All occupants were out of the house. There were no injuries reported. The house pet dog was found deceased inside the home. The Arson Bomb Squad and the Nassau County Fire Marshall responded to the scene.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
