Woman Charged with Violent Robbery and Assault at Valley Stream Chinese Restaurant

The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a Laurelton female for a Robbery that occurred on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 7:50 PM in Valley Stream.
 
According to Detectives, Defendant Victoria Ogundipe, 27, entered Kim Wong Chinese Kitchen located at 529 Merrick Road, and removed a bag containing various food items; passed all points of purchase and exited the store without rendering payment.
 
A male employee, 54, followed the defendant and attempted to retrieve the items back when a struggle ensued. The defendant struck the victim with a closed fist multiple times before knocking him to the ground and placing both her hand around his neck, while applying pressure, obstructing his breathing.
 
The male victim suffered a substantial laceration, severe swelling and bleeding to his right eye. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries.
 
Defendant Victoria Ogundipe is charged with Robbery 2nd Degree and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. She will be arraigned on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at First District Court, 99 Main Street Hempstead.
