As the chill begins to set in and the year comes to an end, endless quantities of family activities on Long Island ensure that the fun is just beginning to heat up.  A variety of Festivals and Fairs will be kicking things off this December, allowing individuals and families to find the perfect gifts for everyone of their lists.

As Hanukkah falls on December 12, the middle of the month will be packed with Menorah Lightings that members of the community will certainly be gathering at.  For Christmas, there are plenty of Christmas Tree Lightings as well to ensure that there will be bright lights and holiday cheer regardless of the holiday being celebrated!  The holiday entertainment doesn't stop there, though, for Holiday Theater Performances, Brunches With Santa, Holiday Parades and Light Shows, and Holiday House Tours are all packed into a single month!  Plus, after Christmas and Hanukkah, there are all of the New Year's Eve events to look forward to that will help Long Islanders finish the year with a bang.

Outside of the holiday entertainment, there are also events of all kinds for both the young and young at heart.  So whether you're looking to head outdoors or enjoy a quiet activity indoors, December has all the activities that you could possibly ask for.  Since there is absolutely no time to waste, keep reading to see what events you'll want to fit in around the holidays!

Festivals and Fairs
Craft fairs for last-minute shopping and holiday destinations for enjoying the spirit of the season are among the events that will keep Long Islanders warm this December.  Needless to say, there will be no shortage of family events to spend the year's most bone-chilling days!
