Plandome Manor man arrested for assaulting a police medic during a hospital evaluation, causing leg injuries.

The Sixth Squad Detectives report the arrest of a Plandome Manor male for an Assault that occurred on Friday, November 29, 2024 at 5:37 pm in Plandome Manor.
 
According to Detectives, Defendant Nicholas Vulpis, 53, was transported to North Shore University Hospital located at 300 Community Drive for evaluation. While the AMT was rendering aid, the defendant became violent and combative and struck the Nassau County Police Medic in the leg causing swelling, bruising and substantial pain.
 
Defendant Vulpis was placed under arrest. The Police Medic was treated and release from the hospital.
 
Defendant Nicholas Vulpis is charged with Assault 2nd Degree. He will be arraigned on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
