Sands New York presents a holiday extravaganza featuring two of Long Island's most celebrated musical talents, Sal "The Voice" Valentinetti and Christian Guardino. This free event, titled "Season of Sparkle," will take place on Monday, December 4, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale.
Bethpage native Sal "The Voice" Valentinetti is known for his powerful vocals, captivating stage presence, and charasmatic personality. He rose to prominence in 2016 after his performance on "America's Got Talent," earning him the Golden Buzzer and captivating audiences worldwide. His repertoire includes iconic songs from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Dean Martin, and Elvis Presley.
Singer-songerwriter Christian Guardino from Patchogue appeared on "American Idol" season 20 making it to the top 7. He also was a contestant on “America’s Got Talent” Season 12, where he was Howie Mandel’s Golden Buzzer winner. In addition, he won the grand prize at Amateur Night at The Apollo in 2014.
Other musical performances of the evening include the Uniondale High School Show Choir, Emcee Carl and his Holiday Elves, and Cuban entertainer Osmay Cavo with his 13-piece band.
The event kicks off at 5 p.m. with a 6 p.m. lighting of a Christmas tree, Hanukkah menorah, and Kwanzaa kinara. Musical performances start at 7 p.m. Bring the family for holiday mini-golf, a human Christmas tree, children’s activities, and plenty of festive photo ops. The Marine Corps Reserve will be on hand to accept donations of new unwrapped toys as part of the annual Toys for Tots toy drive.
