The Homicide Squad is investigating a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, December 2, 2024 at 1:24 p.m. in Rockville Centre.
According to Detectives, while attempting to cross westbound on Buckingham Road in the vicinity of Princeton Road, a male pedestrian was struck by a 77-year-old male driving a 2023 Ford Transit van. The male pedestrian, 68, suffered multiple injuries and was transported to a local area hospital where he was pronounced at 3:00 p.m. by hospital staff. The driver remained at scene. The investigation is ongoing.
