LI's Adorable Adoptables is a weekly column by Allison Matos, a lifelong Long Island resident who has been advocating animal adoption since 2012. Allison's weekly posts highlight local animals in need of adoption, and cover general animal welfare topics as well.
Ladies and Gentleman, please allow me to introduce the one and only, amazing and charming Ladybug! This 5 year old gorgeous blue nose with speckled paws came to the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter as a stray, already spayed, with a tattoo. Unfortunately, no owner came to find her, so she is now in need of a new forever home. Ladybug is friendly with people and being recommended for a home with kids 10 and older. She is playful with toys, and already knows certain commands! Ladybug is social, friendly, and playful with other dogs, but prefers to not live with any felines. Ladybug is a staff/volunteer favorite, and is ready to become your new best friend today! Please call for more information: 516-785-5220 or visit the shelter at 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793.
Please consider helping animals in need this holiday season. Did you know that local shelters accept all sorts of items as donations including blankets, sheets, pillows, towels and even stuffed animals? Any little bit helps!
Thank you for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop!
