There's no shortage of holiday classic productions in theaters on Long Island. There’s also plenty of other holiday-themed entertainment going on. On Friday, choose between enjoying Irving Berlin’s White Christmas: The Musical at the Patchogue Theatre, a singles mixer event involving the building of a gingerbread house at the Cupcake Corner or a Christmas show at Bethpage Assembly of God. On Saturday, check out Santa’s arrival on a Harley at Miracle Mile Harley-Davidson, the production of The Nutcracker by the Lynch Ballet Company and the annual Selden craft and gift fair. On Sunday, enjoy Shrek The Musical at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts, The Nutcracker at John Cranford Adams Playhouse or take a tour at Hallockville Museum Farm where you can learn about how Christmas was experienced in the past. Who: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas: The Musical At The Patchogue Theatre
Info: Come out and enjoy a Christmas classic. Irving Berlin’s White Christmas originated as a 1954 film. It has been nominated for two Tony Awards and 6 Drama Desk Awards. It tells the story of two showbiz buddies putting on a show at a Vermont inn where they also find their perfect mate. The musical is complete with dancing, laughter and great songs. The show continues to run through December 30.

Who: Singles Gingerbread Mixer At The Cupcake Corner
Info: This fun singles mixer will be set up in teams of 4 to build a Gingerbread House. Expert bakers are also on hand to assist and offer instruction on the assembly and decorating process. You’ll also have the chance to decorate your own Christmas ornament while waiting for the house to dry and set. There will also be refreshments and elves reading the Nutcracker. Reservation and pre-payment is required.

Who: Christmas Show ‘Here With Us’ At Bethpage Assembly of God
Info: The show takes you back 2,000 years ago with a story of secrets, suspense, sacrifice and love. It’s a play where you will learn the story of Jesus’ birth and follow biblical characters’ journeys as they find their way to the heart of “Here With Us.”

Who: Santa Claus Is Riding To Town At Miracle Mile Harley-Davidson
Info: Seeing Santa Claus is not just for kids. At Miracle Mile Harley-Davidson, Santa Claus will also excite adults with his new sleigh – a new 2013 motorcycle. There will be picture taking, free barbeque, desert and refreshments.

Who: Lynch Ballet Company’s 4th Annual Nutcracker
Info: Enjoy a holiday favorite, The Nutcracker. The 2012 Lynch Ballet Company promises to dazzle audiences with its gifted dancers, timeless tale and beautiful costumes designed by Madeline Hinkis, former costume mistress for American Ballet Theater II. The show continues through December 16 at Huntington High School.

Who: Shrek The Musical At Tilles Center For The Performing Arts
Info: The musical production is based on the Oscar-winning Dreamworks film Shrek. The production is complete with new songs, big laughs, great dancing and breathtaking scenery. Characters include a lovable swamp-dwelling ogre, wisecracking donkey, a lovely prince and other amazing figures.

Who: The Nutcracker At John Cranford Adams Playhouse
Info: This Nutcracker production is based off of Balanchine’s original New York City ballet production. The play is presented by Frank Ohman’s New York Dance Theatre and it’s their 31st season for the classic. The production includes a cast of 80 children, semi-professional dancers and guest artists like DaVon Doane and Jehbreal Jackson of the Dance Theatre of Harlem.

Who: Holidays At Hallockville Museum Farm
Info: Head out for a tour of how Christmas was experienced in the past with a guided tour of historic homes decorated for the season. You will also have the opportunity to meet legendary decoy carver jack Combs. You can see him at work in the shop creating decoys and woodcarvings inspired by the maritime heritage of Long Island since the 1800’s. You can also visit Miss Ella’s shop for holiday gifts.
