With a fun name and diverse menu, L.O.L BBQ & BAR opened in the Village of Great Neck Plaza recently.
The interior of this new place looks completely new, with a modern look. The walls are steel-colored and the spacious dining area has wood table tops and seats.
Skewers items include lamb or beef ($3 each), pork belly ($3), and rice cakes ($2). They also have vegetable skewer options like tofu ($3.50) and cauliflower ($2). Don’t forget the squid tentacles ($3). All among the most popular items.
The appetizers menu features tangy chicken wings ($10), popcorn chicken ($8), and the baked muscles ($12 for 5). They also have a special fried rice and fried noodle offerings with chicken, beef, shrimp or king sausage ($13 each).
The premium drinks at their late night bar seem to be on point. On Yelp, Amrit A, from Great Neck, said the drinks are where it's at.
“Food is pretty good here but the drinks are where it shines,” he wrote. “The sparkling elderflower was great, and I would definitely come back to try more of their specialty drinks. Service was incredible. This restaurant has some of the best in the area I'd say. Overall, I'd check it out again.”
Seth B, from Plainview, gave it five stars.
“What a great new place,” he said. “They have these amazing skewers and lots of veggie options too. There is something for the more adventurous spirit too. Full bar and friendly service.”
