“Home for the Howlidays” Pet Adoption Day
Come on down to Kent Animal Shelter this Saturday from 10 AM-4 PM to view the adoptable cats and dogs that just arrived from Puerto Rico and the Turks Islands. Pets of all sizes will be available and adoption fees will be waived for any cats over six months old! After you adopt your new pet, take a photo with Santa to bring home for the holidays! On our pet adoption day, we will also be taking donations of pet food, toys, treats and clean bedding.
Early Morning Fire Island Tower Tour
If you enjoy watching the sunrise, come on down to the Fire Island Lighthouse this Sunday to view it from the tower! The tour will begin at 6:30 AM, with the sun rising at 7:14 AM. The tower tour will also include a light breakfast and a fun souvenir mug. Attendees are to bring their own flashlight for the walk to the lighthouse. Fun for Kids: Jack Frost's Science Lab
Bring the kids down to Connetquot River State Park Preserve this Sunday to participate in the fun wintery experiments being offered. Kids will partake in Jack Frost’s Science Lab from 1:30-3:00 PM to see what kind of holiday fun they can mix up! This science lab is appropriate for children ages 7 and older with reservations. Adults are $4 and children are $ 3. Please call 631-581-1072 to reserve your spot.
Holiday Centerpiece Workshop
Are you looking to make a festive centerpiece for the holiday coming up? If you aren’t sure where to start, join the staff of Benner’s Farm for an adult workshop on Holiday Centerpieces.
