The Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM) in Garden City hosts a “Noon” Year’s Eve family party celebrating the start of 2024 in the style of New York’s famous Times Square. The fun takes place Sunday, December 31 from 11:45 - 4 p.m.

Kids can ring in the New Year during “Countdown to 12” ball drops at noon and 4 p.m., highlighted by a confetti-filled dance party. There will also be crafts and other activities throughout the museum.

Visitors who want to attend the noon ball drop are encouraged to arrive at 11:30 a.m. or earlier to explore the museum before the ball drop, and complete the optional free activities when the activity stations open after the ball drop. Visitors coming to the 4 p.m. ball drop are encouraged to arrive between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to enjoy activities and galleries before they close in preparation for the ball drop. All activities are drop-in and available until 3:45 p.m. while supplies last.

The “Noon” Year’s Eve party is free with museum admission. Museum admission is  $17 for adults and children over 1 year old, $16 for seniors, free to museum members and children under 1 year old. For additional information, contact 516-224-5800 or visit the Long Island Children’s Museum website. The Long Island Children’s Museum is located at 11 Davis Avenue in Garden City.
