Commuters and residents of New York City are invited to share their thoughts on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority's (MTA) congestion pricing proposal to implement tolls for vehicles in Manhattan, spanning from 60th Street through Midtown to the Battery. The proposed toll for passenger cars is set at a base rate of $15, with higher rates for trucks and buses. Discounts will be applicable for drivers entering the city via toll tunnels or bridges, as well as for those traveling during overnight hours and on weekends.
To gather public input, the MTA has launched an online form. Additionally, comments can be submitted via email at cbdtp.feedback@mtabt.org.
Four public hearings are scheduled to allow individuals to express their views on the congestion pricing plan. These hearings will take place on February 29, March 1, and twice on March 4 at MTA Headquarters, located on the 20th Floor in the William J. Ronan Board Room at 2 Broadway. For those who prefer a virtual attendance, a Zoom option will be available, and the hearings will be livestreamed on the MTA website. Those interested in speaking at the hearings must sign up online or call the Public Hearing Hotline at 646-252-6777. Registration for each upcoming public hearing will become available one week prior to the event.
