Heroic Response: Rapid Action by Police and Firefighters Saves Residents in North Hills Condo Fire; Investigation Unveils Details
The Public Information Office reports the details of a Fire that occurred on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at 2:52 pm in North Hills.
According to Police, Officers responded to a fire at Acorn Ponds Condominium Complex located at 41 Chestnut Hill. Upon arrival, police with the assistance of local fire departments were able to evacuate the building residents to safety. The Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department along with several additional fire departments responded to extinguish the fire. The Nassau County Fire Marshal and Arson Bomb Squad Detectives responded to the scene. No injuries were reported.
The Red Cross responded for the displaced residents.The investigation is ongoing.
