Located in the beautiful Hamptons of Long Island, this 18-hole private golf course was designed by Rees Jones and opened in 1992. Wetlands, deep kettle ponds and distant ocean views were preserved through the most comprehensive environmental study ever done for a golf course. The results have won Atlantic Golf Club both “The Best New Private Course” and the Golf Digest’s “100 Greatest Courses” awards. Although there are no water hazards, an assortment of knobs, moguls and mounds abound to create an interesting play from a variety of routes. Distance from the longest tees varies from 5,300 yards to 7,117 yards. Fairways are wide open and greens are large and fast. This is a par-72 course. Constructed in 1993, the New England-style clubhouse offers members a full bar, restaurant and Pro shop. Caddies and a golfing professional are on site. Club and golf cart rentals are available and credit cards are accepted.
